Alan Dean Foster is a prolific science fiction and fantasy writer. Several of his novels have had furry characters (both 'talking animals' and animal-like aliens), including the Spellsinger fantasy series and Quozl. He has been a guest of honor at ConFurence 6 (1995) and Further Confusion 2005.
