Basel Fur Meet

The Basel Fur Meet (BFM) is a one-day furmeet in Basel, Switzerland. It is organized by Akeyla and Blue Panther. It took place in November 2004, 2005 and 2006 on the last day of the Basler Herbstmesse (Basel Autumn Fair). Participants have come from Switzerland, Germany and Austria. It is next scheduled for 11 November 2007.
The meet begins shortly before noon with a walk through the old town of Basel. It continues with a ferry crossing of the Rhine and a tour of the Rummel market area. After celebrations in Rummel, the group meets in a fine restaurant, and the evening is usually continued with specialty drinks.
