Blue Horizon

Blue Horizon is a series of stories written by Ted & Eileen Blasingame, and Steve Carter.
"Life should be mundane shipping freight across the galaxy, but that doesn't always seem to be the case for the anthropomorphic captain and crew of the Blue Horizon."
• The storyline revolves around the adventures of the crew of the Blue Horizon, a space freighter captained by Merlin Sinclair, an anthropomorphic grey wolf making deliveries across the Planetary Alignment (a trade alliance between sixteen worlds in nine star systems).
• The series which began in the spring of 1996 includes many interpersonal tales between a close-knit crew as they encounter problems that arise with the company, relationships with the families and friends of the crew, brushes with the effects of war and other catastrophes, business rivalries, and repeat encounters with a stalking pirate ship crewed by jaguars intent on crushing the crew and taking their cargo.
• As of the beginning of 2008, there are forty-two 'episodes' divided into four 'seasons' with a new related project in production simply called Twelve Sixty-One. Eileen and Steve are no longer actively involved with Blue Horizon – Eileen is now concentrating on her own projects and Steve has returned to his fantasy roots and mentoring at-risk youth. Another of Ted's major stories, Hoenix, takes place in the same universe but showcases a different cast of characters with relatively no overlap.
