Brisbane

The city of Brisbane features one of Australia's more active local furry communities, probably second only to Melbourne. In 1996, Brisbane was the site of the country's first furry sharehouse Quarantine (defunct) and contains such households, including The Asylum (defunct), The Den, Billabong, The Bunnerong Road Sharehouse (defunct) and Sanctuary. In 2005, Westhaven became the first resident-owned furry household.
