ČeSFuR

ČeSFuR is a furry convention in the Czech Republic that offers indoor and outdoor activities. The spelling is a reference to the name of the country from 1990 to 1993: ČSFR (Česká a Slovenská Federativní Republika = Czech and Slovak Federative Republic). Though many of the participants do not speak English, foreign attendees are welcome.

ČeSFuR 2005 art jam

[edit] ČeSFuR 1 (2005)

The first ČeSFuR took place from 25 to 28 March 2005 in Březová nad Svitavou in the Pardubice Region. The 33 participants included Czech and Slovak furries as well as guests from Germany, Austria, Great Britain and the United States. The program included a trip to a nearby stalactite cave.

This first annual event was organized by Xkun, with help from numerous others.

[edit] ČeSFuR 2 (2006)

ČeSFuR 2: Beneath God's Paws (later retitled to Of Ancient Myths and Legends) was held from 28th April to 1st May 2006 at Turistická ubytovna Pohoda in Březová nad Svitavou. Of the 44 attendees, five came from Poland, four from Russia, two from Germany and one from Ukraine. The event suffered from bad weather, causing many outdoor events to be curtailed or cancelled.

The third ČeSFuR was held from 6th to 9th April 2007 at Bartošova Pec near Turnov in the Liberec Region. The 55 participants included Czech, Slovak, Polish, German and Austrian furries. The program included a hike to Frýdštejn castle, fursuiting presentations, a Games without frontiers between felines, canines and joint horses/dragons teams, star watching and a charity auction.

Altair became the new convention chairman of ČeSFuR 2007, with Mbili, Mysh and Xkun as organization team members.

[edit] ČeSFuR 4 (2008)

ČeSFuR IV was held from 21st to 24th March 2008 at Sluneční zátoka, near Ledeč nad Sázavou. Maximum of participants was 74, including 14 attendees from Poland, 12 from Germany and 1 from Austria. Program included concert of The Puppits band, gameshow inspired by TV show Jeopardy!, a Father Fur's Treasure (game show inspired by Fort Boyard TV series) and a charity auction.
