FA: United

Fur Affinity: United! (also known as FA: United!) is a furry convention held in Northern New Jersey, USA. "United" was chosen as the convention's title to reflect Fur Affinity and the Northeast Anthropomorphic Association's goal to help strengthen the Furry community's bond.
A unique tradition of the convention[citation needed] is to host live, professional rock bands during the convention such as the Gay Blades.

[edit] FA: United 2007
Headed by Shy Matsi, the Northeast Anthropomorphic Association (a non-profit 501(c)7 based in New Jersey) partnered with Fur Affinity began planning for a new convention in the New Jersey region in 2005 following Anthrocon's announced move from Philadelphia, PA to Pittsburgh.
The convention was held August 10th to 12th, 2007 at the Ramada Newark Airport International in Newark, New Jersey.[1].

- Fursuit parade count: 25
- Guests of Honor: Blotch and Roxikat
- Charity: $1,600[2] to the Lakota Wolf Preserve[3]
- Featured bands: The Gay Blades, Sikamor Rooney, Zsa Zsa Gabortion and the Back Alley McBeals (led by staff member Sox Pup)
Notes:
- More "founding member" sponsorships were purchased than regular sponsorships. "Founding Members" received a free, limited-edition "Fur Affinity" USB flash drive.
- Cake was the first active fursuit at FA: United.
- The con bag handed out at registration contained "FA Bucks," gift certificates which could be redeemed in the Dealer's Room or convention store for cash.
- All bands performed for free on the condition drinks would be on the house. [citation needed]

The convention's second year took place August 1st to 3rd, at the Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott.

- Charity: $1,820 to the New Jersey SPCA[4]
- Featured bands: Gay Blades (at Opening Ceremonies), The Press, Shitty Grape Lollipops[5]

Headed by Cray Wolf of New Jersey, FA: United, LLC. plans the future years of FA: United. For 2009, FA: United is expected to be downsized to a "weekend party/cook out with music, booze and more" and will have the code number FA:U 2.5

FA: United 3 "Games United" [6] was announced by Dragoneer to be scheduled for May 28th to 30th 2010, and will be held at the Marriott on Rt 73 in Mt Laurel, NJ.
