#furry is the name of channels frequently found on various IRC networks, such as FurNet (IRC), and Anthrochat. For many furries, this is the general chatroom.

One such instance of #furry can be found on the EsperNet IRC network. It was founded by Rask on July 21, 2003 after a migration from the Mediadriven IRC network.
