Furry Connection North 2009 was a convention held 24-26 April, 2009 at the Shearton Detroit Novi in Novi, Michigan, U.S.A.[1] There were 727 attendees, 156 of whom participated in the fursuit parade. The guest of honor was Tracy Butler of the prohibition-era comic Lackadaisy. A charity game of Texas hold 'em raised $280 for Paws for a Cause.
Security services for the convention were provided by the Dorsai Irregulars. [2]
The convention's music setup was notable for its subwoofers, which caused 27 light bulbs and six overhead light fixtures to fall during the course of the convention.[3]
