Furry Fight Farm (FFF) is a cyber-wrestling community based on real-world wrestling franchises and set in an alternate reality known as Las Vegas. Imagine Omaha the Cat Dancer as an ECW diva or The Lion King meets the WWE and that's pretty much what they're all about. The FFF has been the longest running furry cyber-wrestling community in one form or another since 2001, and many former members of the FFF have in turn founded their own cyber-fighting communities (Blossom Club, Clawnation, Furry Wrestling Alliance, Western California Alliance Wrestling, Wild Side Wrestling Federation).

[edit] What is Cyber-wrestling?

The FFF is a message board/instant messenger based role-playing group with adventures taking place in a fictional alternate reality. It is based on freeform, diceless gaming, meant for intermediate to advanced roleplayers.

The FFF is not an E-Fed. E-Feds are usually run by a few hardcore fans of established real world wrestling federations and what they produce is no more than fan fiction.

Cyber-wrestling is a true sport. The best description of which can be found in the How-to Cyber-fight Instructional Guide (Second Edition) written by Jenny B. Sweet: "Cyber-fighting, in all its many varied forms, differs from real life fighting only in that you and your opponent are battling over a computer and not face to face. Therefore, you must use both your imagination as well as your knowledge of fighting methodology, in addition to maintaining constant attention to the progress of the match, in order to fight realistically and effectively. Whether fighting privately, as is most common, or publicly in a chat room with friends in attendance watching you perform, you must follow some simple rules to make the whole experience more enjoyable for all involved, as well as make the fight itself more realistic."

[edit] History

The FFF was created and moderated by Martin "Coelacanth" Evans initially as a Yahoo! group in 2001, but it eventually expanded to include real-time roleplaying on two IRC channels. There were also some secondary FFF franchises, including a second Yahoo! group, and a group on Smartgroups. The FFF was so popular that non-furries would sneak in pretending to be part of the fandom. However, due to constant internal conflicts, the plug was pulled on the FFF in 2006, but the FFF was revived in 2007 by popular demand. Several old FFF regulars have returned to participate as well as many cyber-wrestlers from outside the fandom. The management of the FFF vows that many of the mistakes made in the past will not be repeated and the best group management strategies from mainstream cyber-wrestling groups will be employed.

[edit] Membership requirements

The FFF is seeking competent roleplayers, not lurkers, spammers, or powergamers. Serious applicants only. We still support artists as we always have, but all art has to be wrestling-themed and they are required to contribute.
