The Furry Forum Mailing List was a general purpose discussion forum designed to be a conduit for the latest in furry news. It was created in May 1998 with high hopes and was moderately successful for a couple of years, but fell into disuse as web-based discussion forums and later blogs (such as LiveJournal) became the preferred media for holding discussions. It was finally shut down circa 2004.
