Ian Kubitza

Ian Kubitza (also known as Ian and Gothic Skunk, and formerly as Sarah Skunkie; born January 9, 1983 in Stettler, Alberta, Canada) is a furry fan who lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada as of 2007.

Ian's first major furry fursona was Sarah Skunkie, which he role-played from 2000 to 2004. After four years of roleplaying as her on FurryMUCK and Tapestries, a transition was gradually made from the female character to one that better reflected Ian's real life self, going as far to even adopt his full legal name on Tapestries.

He considers Sarah to be officially retired, though from time to time he will role play her again for a period of time should the mood strike him.

After the retiring of Sarah, Ian focused on his new character, Ian, who is much like Ian is in real life. Same height, (6' 2"), similar weight (175 lbs), and same physical structure.

Since Ian has zero artistic ability in real life, he relied upon commissioned artwork to bring his image to life, and sometime in 2004, the very first picture of Ian was drawn and digitally coloured. The picture was a success, and is commonly known throughout the fandom.^{[citation needed]} The popularity of the first 'Ian' drawing drove him to nickname it THE picture.^{[citation needed]} In the years since then, the 'Ian' character has become distinctly recognizable whenever drawn.^{[citation needed]}

The 'Ian' character always wears the same outfit: long black bangs that frame his face, a spiked collar, fishnet shirt, black jeans, and black leather trenchcoat. Variations of this outfit come in the form of omissions of some or all articles.
