JR (an abbreviation of his original alias, Jackrabbit; born October 15th, 1968) is a furry who lives in Orlando, Florida, United States. His real name is Dan Boatright. His fursona is a hare.

JR is best known as the puppeteer behind Poink T. Ferret on the Funday PawPet Show. He also did a character named Bambi Voop, longtime bimbo for Poink, whose tenure on the show ended when Poink finally sold her on Ebay. Recently, JR introduced a new character to the show, Hugh Manatee. On the show, he provides Poink's usual blend of audacious and sometimes perverse insight, as well as appearing as himself in numerous bits on the show.

JR is also an aspiring standup comedian, and he opened for 2 the Ranting Gryphon at Anthrocon 2007. He will be opening for 2 again at Anthrocon 2008.

JR maintains a LiveJournal as his alter-ego, Poink, and it's normally a place for him to post silliness, with the occasional RL situation thrown in. Also, JR has been involved in operations for Megaplex since the convention's inception, originally handling both advertising and the charity auction, aside from performing and general hands-on assistance at the convention itself. Currently, he still handles the charity auction and performs and assists at Megaplex on site, but has relinquished his other duties to concentrate on writing and performing standup.

Recently, JR has started recording some of his humor as the Poinkcast podcast at this RSS feed or as downloadable mp3s, available at this site. They are more mature in nature than his work on the Funday PawPet Show, and contain some strong language. Also, the Poinkcast is a segment on the 2 Sense show since February 2008.
