Jaguarundi (person)
From WikiFur, the furry encyclopedia.
Jaguarundi or Jag, currently known as Lex outside of the furry fandom, is a fantasy artist that dabbles mostly in non-human creatures. Biologically female but transgender, Jag presents himself as an androgynous male both online and in real life. He is also a therian and postfurry, spiritually feline (yet agnostic) with a taste for the odd and macabre.
Born in Joliet, Illinois in 1980, Jaguarundi moved to Madison, Wisconsin for a few years, and relocated to California's San Francisco Bay Area in 2003. 'Jaguarundi' was originally chosen as his first internet screen name when he roleplayed as a Mobian character, though today his personal avatar is portrayed as a blue-furred psivampiric jaguarundi.
Though he hasn't posted much artwork in the last few years due to lack of motivation, he still occasionally draws for himself and friends. He's had mostly dead-end call center jobs throughout his life, but hopes to eventually attend art school to better his skills and persue a degree in computer animation. In 2008, he was hired as a customer support agent for a Second Life-based company.
He's happily mated to an illustrator known as Kaput, and they currently reside in Berkeley with a friendly gray tabby cat named Casey and another furry friend. Sharing a fondness for creativity, electronic music, and altered consciousness, they regularly attend the Burning Man festival with a posse of like-minded freaks.
Having occupied FurryMUCK and Tapestries (as Jag) since the late '90s, Jag has all but abandoned MU*s, but can occasionally be seen wandering around Second Life as Lex Fallingbridge. Addicted to World of Warcraft since 2005, his characters include a troll hunter named Takkouri and a Tauren druid named Argusel on the Scarlet Crusade server. He's also been known to lurk on the Darknest forums, which has inspired some Warcraft-related artwork.
