Jaxon Diablos is the writer and artist behind Citation Needed, a web comic which has raised a small fan base despite it‘s infrequent update schedule. He is currently living in England however was raised around the area of Turkey, and so has developed a unique Turkish accent. His fursona is a grey furred European Dwarf Rabbit with what is described as a giant purple dreadlock afro.
It is constantly stressed that Jaxon Diablos is a clean artist, as he believes that the fandom has far too many yiff artists and nude pictures, and that a new artist who can entertain the fandom through clean pictures and funny comics would be a breath of fresh air. These beliefs have heavily influence his writing.
Jaxon is also a fairly talented voice actor, and is able to mimic various accent and tones, however has only voiced in a single amateur production.
Jaxon’s inspiration for drawing comes from the use of various drugs, particularly Ketamin and Cannabis. Allegedly, the inspiration for altering his fursona to have a giant dreadlock afro came from when he was so high he couldn’t move, and hallucinated his fursona with a giant dreadlock afro telling him to get up off the floor because the police were coming. Due to this, most of his comics, particularly his early work, are fragmented and distorted, follow no particular pattern and can suddenly change plot direction at a moments notice. He only writes down the plot for the comic while high, as the effects of drugs destroy his ability to draw. His use of drugs however has not come without a price, as frequent use has caused nerve damage around the left side of his body, giving him a permanent limp in his left leg. Despite this he refuses to join the furry group Baked Furs, and has at one point described them as "The furry equivalent of that annoying kid at a party, who after drinking one beer runs around telling everyone “I’m so drunk!!""

He’s wearing a hat is the online alias in which Jaxon Diablos uses to describe him as a person and artist. Mostly due to his irrational fear of putting private information of himself on the internet, he refuses to disclose his real name or address in case he they are used to track him down. This cautiousness goes so far to the fact that he has admitted to using fake names and fake identification at conventions in which he has attended.
Born in 1989, Jaxon wanted to be a riot officer however due to a liver deficiency which limited his calorie and nutrient intake, as well family history of mental illness, he was denied his entry for consideration. Falling back on his good grades in computer skills he attended college with the intent of becoming an IT technician, however due to a mix up with his application was admitted into a graphic design course. Jaxon attended the first lesson simply to inform the tutor of the mix up however realised he loved to draw the form of blocky vibrant drawings graphical art offered, and so changed his outlook in life to become a graphic designer.
Jaxon was first introduced to the furry fandom when his friends, who are in fact frequent visitors to the forum 4chan, were openly mocking them during a free period at college. At the time unknowing to what a furry was Jaxon asked for an explanation and was told a bias opinion about freaks in costumes who only want to yiff. Acting on this, Jaxon downloaded Furcadia with the intent of mocking furries for fun, instead he found that he actually enjoyed the idea of the furry fandom from their perspective and has since been a member. His first experience with drawing furry art came from when one of his friends on Furcadia offered to start a web comic with him, Jaxon agreed, and was terrible at drawing but loved doing it. He was since convinced by 2, The Ranting Gryphon to focus completely on this, as it is the one thing that makes him happy.
A few years ago Jaxon was diagnosed with clinical depression, on top of cases of Autism and OCD this has caused a very destructive behaviour pattern. He frequently screams at those he speaks to, then apologises for this directly afterwards. He is also prone to violent outbursts and acts of aggression, for example, he has once broken someone’s nose for mixing up his neat line of condiments while at a restaurant. He is a recovering alcoholic and frequent drug user, though he explains his use of drugs is more to calm him down and give him a slight release from his mental issues. If seen smoking, this will normally be a spliff. His behaviour has actually ended him up in jail for a short term due to being convicted of attempted burglary, and possession of cannabis. He was however let off as a judge took pity on him, knowing that he would never have done this had he not been so under the influence. He has since made attempts to limit his use of drugs, and has gone through counselling to help him deal with his violent outbursts. Despite these violent outbursts and moments of depression he is a fairly nice guy who only really wants to make others happy.

Jaxon’s fursona was created during his time on Furcadia. He first wanted to use a wolf for his fursona as it describes his personality the best, however due to the high numbers of wolf and canine fursona’s in the furry community he decided upon choosing a rabbit. He admits that his personality does not fit the appearance of a rabbit, however this is also the case for himself as well in various examples.
Jaxon is known for his hatred and racist prejudice of hybrid furries, despite the ironic fact that he himself is also hybrid furry, as his half brother is a wolf, hinting that at least one of his parents must have been a wolf also. He is stated to be of Lavarian decent, a made up land within the history of Citation Needed with a language which closely resembles German. He very much dislikes overly yiffy furs, especially gay yiffy rabbits, as he claims it to be a disgrace to their species that they would sell themselves out and submit in such a manner. Again, ironically, in various remakes of Citation Needed he is constantly put in situations where he will wear woman’s clothing, either against his will or to trick another character, and although at first resents this fact, makes no attempt to change out of these clothes in future comics.
He uses many different types of guns in different comics, which he pulls from seemingly nowhere although Jaxon has explained that they are stored inside his afro, which can store an infinite amount of objects. He has fired a pistol many times in many early comics, with excellent accuracy. Jaxon has also explained that this is in fact a chrome plated Glock 32, although his poor ability to draw guns causes this fact to become unnoticeable. Other guns he owns include a modified UKM-2000 with a heart on the side which he calls the “love gun mach 4”. It uses Christmas cheer technology to fire pure rainbows, encased in bullets. In essence, just bullets. This gun has also been modified to sport a solid shoulder butt, and a second grip rather than a rest. Due to the machine guns large size it should also be noted that to lift such a weapon in the ease in which Jaxon did, he would have to be incredibly strong.
He also owns an M20A1 Bazooka, with a heart printed on the side. Which he calls the Lovezooka. In the latest version of Citation Needed this is the weapon he uses to destroy Marie’s car off screen, causing the main plot device for the comic as he attempts to raise money to buy a replacement.
It should be noted that before he stabbed out his own eye in an early version of Citation Needed, Jaxon had one blue eye and one green eye, however after being pestered about this fact repeatedly the writer got rid of it. This reflects the fact that Jaxon in real life, also, has one green eye and one blue eye.
