[edit] Lixa

Lixa's character sheet

Lixa is a female anthropomorphic sphinx/griffin hybrid. She stands at 5'9" and weighs approximately 135 pounds. The name Lixa was created at random by Rachel because she thought it sounded like a good name.

Lixa's personality can be descibed as happy, upbeat, crazy and loud. Lixa has a cat-like face, feathery tufts for ears, the hand claws of a bird, and the tail and foot claws of a mammal. Her wings take up half of her body.

Lixa's color scheme has a base of brown, with peach coloring for her stomach and ear tufts, and darker brown for her tail tuft and hair. Her hand claws are an off-yellow color. Lixa's hair is always parted on the side and is just about shoulder-length. She hardly ever wears her hair up and sometimes wears hair clips.

Lixa almost never wears clothes, preferring to run around naked. However, if she wants to wear clothing, she usually wears shorts, skirts or cute t-shirts. Lixa likes bows and slight frills. She always wears a pair of silver star earrings in her ears.

[edit] In Real Life

In real life, Lixa attends the Savannah College of Art and Design and wants to major in either illustration or photography. Lixa works two part-time jobs at a tea room and an ice cream store. In her spare time, she likes to draw, shop, listen to music and ride her bike.

Lixa attended Furry Weekend Atlanta 2008 and absolutely loved it. She enjoys doing "furry things" with the Savannah furs as well.

[edit] Art

Lixa likes drawing things that are colorful and fun. She once thought shading was a bore, but finally realized that a drawing is simply not a finished piece without some sort of shading. Lixa draws inspiration from different artists, such as Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, Marc Chagall, and others. She prefers drawing animals, although she has been getting better at drawing humans.

Another one of Rachel's characters that she created is a Shiba Inu named Roxy the Dog.

[edit] Description

Roxy's character sheet

Roxy is a female quad Shiba Inu dog. Height-wise, she comes up to a human's knee and weighs approximately 25 pounds. Roxy can also be represented as an anthropomorphic figure.

Roxy is not your average Shiba, as she has angel wings and a halo. Her wings are pure white with blue tips, and her halo is golden yellow. Roxy's fur is light brown, with peach coloring for her stomach, lower muzzle, ears, paws and tail. Her eyes are dark brown and have little fur tufts for eyebrows.

Roxy's personality can be described as friendly, loyal and all-around happy. Her favorite food is popcorn and McDonald's Happy Meals. Roxy loves children and people, but is wary around other dogs. She hates anything with wheels (bicycles, scooter, baby strollers, etc) and getting bathed. Roxy never wears clothing and she hates any kind of ornamentation (like bows or doggie hats). However, she always wears a red collar with a gold medallion with an "R" written on it.

[edit] The Real Roxy

Roxy in real life

In real life, Roxy was Rachel's beloved pet. However, she had to be put down in December of 2005, as she had complications due to the glaucoma in both of her eyes. Roxy was only four years old.

Rachel and her family adopted Roxy in November of 2002 from a family who couldn't take care of her anymore. She was Rachel's Christmas present and her loyal companion. Roxy was always Rachel's artistic muse and was depicted in much of Rachel's artwork.

Even after she is gone, Roxy takes up a special place in Rachel's heart. Rachel still continues to draw pictures of her beloved dog and will maybe get another Shiba Inu one day.
