Midwest Furry Fandom, Inc. is the parent corporation of Midwest FurFest. The corporation was created in Glen Ellyn, Illinois in 1999 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. In the fall of 2006, the corporation moved its headquarters (its post office box) to Mount Prospect, Illinois.

Over the years, Stevie, Tiresta, Firewing, and Moryssa have voluntarily left the board, and Linnaeus, Mirko, Gary Breuckman (puma), Kyle Webb (Hartree Fox), Tom Rogers and Andrew Miller have been added.
