Queer Duck

Queer Duck was an animated series that originally appeared on Icebox.com in 1999, and later moved to the American cable television channel Showtime in 2002. The show was created and written by Mike Reiss, executive producer of network cartoons The Simpsons and The Critic. The animation was directed and designed by Xeth Feinberg. Queer Duck was the first animated TV series to have homosexuality as its predominant theme. Like several later television cartoons, Queer Duck was animated in Macromedia Flash.

The show follows the adventures of Adam "Queer Duck" Duckstein, his boyfriend Steven “Openly” Gator, and their friends Bi Polar Bear and Oscar Wildcat. Although nearly all the characters are anthropomorphic, the series was not intended to have furries as the target audience. The series makes numerous references to gay culture but has never directly recognized the furry fandom. Many times throughout the series the focus of homosexuality is more on human men than anthropomorphic characters; however, there is some sexual furry content in many episodes, such as Gym Neighbors and Bi Polar Bear and the Glorious Hole.

To some people the series is offensive in its portrayal of gay males. The show uses stereotypical humor to an almost discriminatory extent.
