Rednef is the second mascot of Fur Affinity, along its main character, Fender.

In April 1st, 2007, the FA header and Fender account avatar featured a female anthro dragon that resembled Fender in terms of color pattern, markings, and clothing. This was widely believed to be an April Fool's joke,[citation needed] and soon disappeared from the FA header after about one week.
The header was used as a placeholder for the newly released dark theme until May, when FA announced that there would be two mascots, and that the new dragon character would be named Rednef.[citation needed]
The May 2007 banner is the first non-gag banner to feature Rednef. She has also appeared on the July 2007 banner, and on several other banners alongside Fender.
