Rocket City FurMeet 2008

Rocket City FurMeet 2008 (RCFM Deep Six), the sixth Rocket City FurMeet, took place from May 23-25, 2008, at the Radisson Hotel in Huntsville, Alabama, U.S.A. The convention theme is both nautical and "Deep Space" oriented, with the theme ideas left up to the imagination of the attendees. Featured music bands were Crimson Mist and Critical Fail, with DJ'ed dances each of the three nights of the convention. Writing, Art, and fursuiting tracks as well as a well-run hospitality suite are included as part of the main programming. A full time dealers den was also featured, including national and local artists and dealers. Additionally, a unique and specific track for Second Life has also become a featured part of the convention - which has led to the design and inclusion of the hotel as a on-line part of the Second Life Simulation, giving convention attendees an around the year virtual experience.

[edit] Mystery Guest of Honor
This was be the first year that a furry convention featured a Mystery Guest of Honor, chosen from the registered attendees at a random drawing at Opening Ceremonies. The registered Attendee who is selected will be invited to ALL Guest and Booster events and will be given all due recognition as our "Attendee Guest of Honor". The winner may accept their position or may decline and pass it to the next name. RCFM staff members are ineligible.
