Rocky Mountain Fur Con

Rocky Mountain Fur Con is an annual furry convention that takes place in Denver, Colorado. The first Rocky Mountain Fur Con took place from June 1 to 3, 2007 and was chaired by Kahuki Lairu with assistant chair Sorin Kat.

Rocky Mountain Fur Con was first organized by the Mid-America Anthropomorphics and Arts Corporation to take place in June of 2006. However, when Anthrocon also announced its date for that same month, the decision was made to postpone the Rocky Mountain Fur Con's debut until 2007.

A new group by the name of Rocky Mountain Arts and Entertainment, Inc. was later formed to re-start Rocky Mountain Fur Con, but the website still lists Mid-America Anthropomorphics and Arts Corporation as of October 2006. As of December 30, 2006, no record of either of these corporations could be found in Lexis/Nexis or on the Colorado Secretary of State's database of registered corporations.

Rocky Mountain Fur Con 2007 took place from June 1 to 3 at the Denver Adam's Mark Hotel. Goldenwolf, Dark Natasha, and Michele Light were the guests of honor. The final official attendance was 236.^[1]

Rocky Mountain Fur Con 2008 is scheduled to take place the weekend of May 23-25 at The Hyatt Regency in Denver. The theme for 2008 is "The Urban Wilderness".^[1] The hotel is now set, and Blotch and LatinVixen are set to be the Guests of Honor.
