Shiny, also spelled shiney and shinee, in the furry fandom, refers to any object, often metal that reflects light. Shinys are often popular, but not limited to, amongst raccoon and ferret furs, due to the propensity of the real life species to hoard shiny objects, which often are, due to limited attention spans, the first things that catch their eyes and occupy their attention. The use of shinys sometimes can be used to put furries into a trance.
