SlyCat

SlyCat is a U.K. fur currently residing in the south of England. He discovered furry sometime in 1997 in the form of the Fursuit Mailing List and first encountered real life furs at the London Furmeet which took place on 4th Sept 1999.

[edit] Meet and con attendance
Since 1999 SlyCat has attended many of the London Furmeets and other meets around the country up until 2006 when he no longer felt it necessary to attend every meet. SlyCat still attends London Furmeets but rather infrequently, favouring smaller, more personal gatherings. SlyCat has also attended a number of conventions since 2002 as listed below.

[edit] Name origins
SlyCat started his online presence going by the name of Sylvester, a name inspired by the Looney Tunes character. However, looking to use a less obvious name, he later contracted the Sylvester to Sly and added on Cat to produce the better sounding name SlyCat.
[edit] Fursuiting
SlyCat purchased his first fursuit in 1999 in the form of a replica Dale Chipmunk from eBay. This was later sold to make room for his next fursuit, a Sylvester The Cat replica made by Atalon of Anthro Creations. This was sold late 2005 in preparation for a new fursuit in 2006.
SlyCat received his new character fursuit built by Jax The Purple Bat, based on the design by KeiHound, on the 23rd August 2006 at Stansted airport just before departing for Eurofurence 12 where it made its debut appearance as a partial suit.
The final suit being the bodysuit and feet were received on 3rd July 2007 at the Westin Hotel, Pittsburgh, just in time for Anthrocon where the suit made its first American con appearance and first appearance anywhere as a complete suit. SlyCat participated in both the fursuit parade and the fursuit photo shoot during Anthrocon 2007, photos from which can be seen on Fursuit.co.uk.

SlyCat is responsible for the creation of both Fursuit.co.uk, a handy portal site for fursuiters in the UK, and Furmeets.co.uk, a site which provides listings of all future furmeets happening in the UK. He also has his own personal site: SlyCat's Pad.
SlyCat has been the registered owner of FurNet IRC channel, #UK since 1999 and was the original founder of the HantsFurs group.
