The Caviar Kid is a webcomic created by Virgil Rocca.
[edit] Premise
It is about a high school dropout named David Carradine (no relation to the actor), his pregnant girlfriend (Bernadette), and his younger cousin (Sebastian). The trio live in a small apartment in the fictional town of Sistray (a reference to The Velvet Underground song “Sister Ray”) which, according to the comic, is twenty miles from Seattle, New York and Las Vegas.
Although it is still in its early stages, The Caviar Kid quickly became known for its “grunge” artwork, teen angst, self-parody, extensive references to pop culture, and realistic dialogue.[1] It also developed controversy for its mature content and pro-choice themes, as the author claims to be a pre-freshman.[2]
