The Furst State

The Furst State is Delaware's regional furry community, though it has members from surrounding states as well.

The Furst State was originally founded by Pockets as a LiveJournal community and small message board, and branched off into its own dedicated forum after enough members expressed interest. The Furst State's forum currently consists of approximately 30 registered users, and is growing. It is currently co-owned by Khora, Reaux, and Flight Line, and additionally moderated by Pockets, Flying Fox and Cid Phox.

The Furst State has members from a wide variety of regions and backgrounds, including students from the University of Delaware. Its members gather at informal monthly meets, and also plan activities such as hikes and beach outings. A larger event for furries in the area, sponsored by The Furst State, is currently in the planning stages.
