Tiger Haven

Tiger Haven is a big cat sanctuary in east Tennessee near Knoxville. The sanctuary has been the primary charity of Mephit Fur Meet since 2001. MFM has ranked amoung their top group donations every year and there is currently an enclosure bearing the MFM's name that was built entirely with donations from the convention attendees.

- It costs in excess of $1500/month to house, feed and care for each cat.
- Tiger Haven is a no kill facility. All of their cats are given a home for the rest of their life.
- Tiger Haven is not a breeding facility and never sells their animals.
- Tiger Haven currently houses in excess of 200 big cats.
- Tiger Haven's largest contributing organization is currently MFM, who raised over $12,000 in 2007.
- Tiger Haven recently won an extended legal battle when the county tried to regulate them out of existance.
- Tiger Haven is a closed facility and does not give tours.
- No cat has ever escaped from an enclosure at Tiger Haven
- The only species of "big cat" not currently housed at Tiger Haven is the Cheetah.
