[edit] Furry business ventures
[edit] Civet Radio And Wireless Rental (C-RAWR)
Trapa has spend a great deal of time and money on getting radios for the conventions and for his hobbies. He can barely leave the house in a group without having a bunch of radios on paw. He at some point decided that he was going to start a company that rents radios to conventions and so far has only done a couple of rentals. He is working on trying to manufacture custom headsets for radios that never came with headsets so that the conventions will have more private radio activity.
The majority of the radio fleet consists of Kenwood Tk-330 UHF radios, and some Motorola radios tossed in. He is also working on building repeaters and extended range cross band repeaters so that convention staffers can keep in contact with off-site staff miles away.
[edit] Paw Printing
Trapa started the business Paw Printing to help artists sell their artwork. Profits from sales of artwork would attempt to cover costs of going to conventions.
[edit] Northwest Furry Productions
Northwest Furry Productions was a fursuiting business that Trapa started with Scribblefox. Trapa originally got Scribblefox to help him out with his fursuit, and when he saw how talented Scribblefox was the two decided to start a business. Named Northwest Furry Productions, the two started a fairly successful fursuit business producing the most realistic fursuits of the era. The business lasted only three years till the two broke up and the business was dissolved.
[edit] Radio
Trapa is a certified amateur radio operator and instructor in Canada, with a callsign of VA7TLK. He purchased several radios over time so that the conventions he runs didn't have to. After he got to 40 radios he decided to start a business called CRAWR (Civet Radio and Wireless Rentals) that rents radios to furry and science fiction conventions.
Trapa currently has all the equipment needed to repair and maintain many two way radios and does offer his services at near-free prices to any other furries out there. He has next set his sights on making two new radio projects, getting a centracom repeater for con operation. The other project is now known as the triangle repeater, which is a combination of a UHF duplex repeater, and a VHF simplex radio as part of the repeater, thus allowing simultaneous dual band and in band repeating. This could prove to be useful to allow on site staff to talk to remote people running errands.
