This user is a newbie to the furry fandom. He might lead to considerable lulz. Be gentle.

"This is my private bed

This is where I lie at night

Staring at a light bulb hanging on the ceiling

Waiting for a dream to

come and get me out of here

Here in my humble room at night

I often wonder what goes on out there

What makes them run so scared

I often stare at the people passing by

But they can't see me through my window shades

Just like I'm not even there"

"I know my problems aren't your fault

What I really want to know

Has it always been this way"

"If you can find me

Come and get me out of here"

[edit] Status

Hello! Check out my LiveJournal if you want.

I'm in the process of developing a fursona. He'll be something like Kendricks only darker, scruffier, and not a bit- not a bit- toony. A significant handicap is my complete lack of any artistic skills whatsoever. I would really, really, really like to attend a furry convention... But... I have a particulary mild agoraphobia that, while merely being annoying in everyday life, will probably be an issue when I am around several hundred people in an enclosed area with no visible exits.

The first furry materials I read were Immelmann's comic Concession and Jay Naylor's comic Better Days. I consider both of them to be relatively disturbing. In retrospect, I should have anticipated that. I'm currently reading Eric W. Schwartz's comic Sabrina Online.

I'm someone of no particular importance (although I did pretty well on the ACT) who likes wiki editing (don't ask me why). I have no relation whatsoever to 'Purple Lemon', but more power to him (or her). This Elfman pic just kills me.

I first heard about furries from the infamous MTV 'Sex2K' episode. I didn't think about it much afterward until some unencyclopedia article lead me to look-up Pressed Fur website. I looked through that and then eventually stumbled onto here. I recently looked over some of the latest news articles. So, it's only just now sunk in that furries are not... well, you know.

I once tried to set up a Wikipedia account as 'Revolutionaryluddite' only to give up a few months afterward. I recieved a barnstar for my contributions, and I was also threatened with banning a couple times. I still make some sporadic edits now and then-- most of them music related. The internet's other 'Revolutionaryluddite' is also me. Make of my eclectic taste in music what you will. User:24.32.208.58 is me as well.

[edit] Name

My real life name is already being used by a prominent furry (Guess who? I'll give you a hint, there's more than one vowel in it). After deciding to create a username based on one of my favorite bands, I considered Trixie, Ramone, Iggy, Lizzy, Scholz, Leppard, Numan, and Crowe. I picked this because it just sounds/looks good.

I suppose that this would make a sweet fursona name-- it still looks open-- if I could think of a first name to go with it. Maybe 'Timmy' or 'Johnny' or something species-specific like 'Kit' or 'Todd'? I'm going with 'Timmy'.

[edit] About me

When it comes to editing, I like links, single quotes, parenthesis, and citations with multiple links in them (oooh... delicious) and I tend to make a copious amount of spelling and grammar errors (How many can you spot on this page alone?). I wrote a long explanation of my personal beliefs/background/hobbies/whatever on my Wikipedia account for transparency's sake. That was deleted when that account was deleted. Two things that I feel like repeating:

That's about it.

[edit] FAQ

'Revolutionaryluddite'?

It's a reference to the late and great cultural critic Neil Postman. As he has pointed out,

"If people are getting divorced and mistreating their children and their sexism and racism are blights on our social life, none of that has anything to do with inadequate information. Now, along comes cyberspace and the information superhighway, and everyone seems to have the idea that, ah, here we can do it; if only we can have more access to more information faster and in more diverse forms at long last, we'll be able to solve these problems."
