This is a list of general templates that may be used where needed on any page.

Template Name	Example	Where to use
{{disambig}} Disambiguation	---- This is a disambiguation page — a navigational aid which lists pages that might otherwise share the same title. If an article link referred you here, you might want to go back and fix it to point directly to the intended page.	This template is to be put on any disambiguation pages after the list of alternate pages to remind users to update their links where needed.
{{spoiler}} Spoiler	Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.	This template is to be put directly before any content in an article which would spoil the enjoyment of those who have not yet read or viewed the item being written about. Any content above a spoiler warning should inform without giving away the details listed below the spoiler line.
{{wrongtitle|title=Correct Title}} Wrong Title	The title of this article is incorrect due to technical limitations. The correct title is Correct Title.	Due to technical limitations of the MediaWiki software, some titles are not allowed by the system. Instead, give the article a suitable name. For example, for an article about #furry, call it Furry (chat channel) and apply this title with the correct title inserted. Also use the correct title when refering to the item within its own article or on other articles.
{{lowercase}} Wrong Title		For use instead of Template:wrongtitle when only the first letter needs to be lowercase. Works regardless of the namespace. Does not change the real title of the article, so linking still works.
{{Wikipedia|Article Title}} Wikipedia Quotation	Some of this page is derived from Wikipedia. The original article was at Article Title. The list of authors can be seen in the page history. As with WikiFur, the text of Wikipedia is available under the GNU Free Documentation License.	This template is to be put at the bottom of any page which contains quoted text from Wikipedia. Replace Article Title in the template code with the name of the article on Wikipedia that was quoted from.
{{Current}} Current On-going Event	This article contains information about a current event. Information may change rapidly as the event progresses.	This template is to be put near to the top of any page which contains information about something that is currently happening and has information which may be changing very quickly. A Furry example for the use of this would be articles about Furry Conventions as they happening.
{{Inuse}} In Use	This article is actively undergoing a major edit. As a courtesy, please do not make edits to this article while this message is displayed, in order to avoid edit conflicts. If you need to know who is working on the article and when the edit session began, please check the edit history.	This template may be used if you want to make a big change to an article and not have other users make little edits while you are working, causing an Edit Conflict when you try to save. Place this template at the top of the page, put 'Marked In Use' in the Edit Summary and Save Changes before choosing to Edit again. Remember to remove it when you make your final save. If you find this template on a page, check the page's edit history to see when it was applied. If it is over an hour old, its probably safe to remove and continue editing.
{{Contributor|Username}} Contributor	This person is a WikiFur user: Username's user page Username's talk page	This template should be placed at the bottom of articles which are about people who are also editors and contributors to Wikifur. The field should be the username of the editor. (No 'User:' is needed.) Also, to link back from the user page, please place the ContributorU template on the editor's user page. It is listed here.
{{Personal-article|Username}} Personal article	This page is a personal article, and may not conform to WikiFur's standards for tone or neutral writing. As a courtesy, please contact the author, Username, if you wish to make major changes.	This template should be placed at the top of personal articles, such as tutorials or editorial opinions, written by a single user on a particular topic. The article itself should be on a page in the user's namespace, such as User:GreenReaper\A Modest Proposal, and linked to from appropriate articles in the main namespace - use a "See also" section if there is nowhere appropriate to put the links. The field should be the username of the editor - no 'User:' is needed. It is listed here.
{{to do}} To do list	Pending tasks for [[Template:Articlespace:Templates/All Templates]]: edit - history - watch - purge WikiFur:Templates/All Templates/to do	This template is intended to be placed on various pages (such as talk pages, WikiProject pages, user pages...), where a brief list of what needs to be done would be helpful. Note that this template (copy-pasted from Wikipedia) has only recently been added to WikiFur, and as such may be slightly buggy, and the template may be tweaked or changed in the near future to adapt it to WikiFur.

[edit] Deletion Templates

To mark pages or images for deletion, please use the following templates. Currently there is no Article Deletion Template, as we are asking users to be bold in writing their articles and if you come across an article that you think should be deleted, instead please think about what could be done to revise it.

{{Ifd}} Image for Deletion	This file has been listed on Wikifur:Images and media for deletion. Please see that page for justifications and discussion. If you don't want the file deleted, please vote against its deletion there. Do not remove this notice while the question is being considered. However, you are welcome to make improvements to this image.	This template is for marking an image for deletion. As well as adding this tag, please make up an entry on the Wikifur:Images and media for deletion page, stating why you think the image should be deleted. If you find this tag on an image, do not remove it until the dispute has been resolved.
{{SpeedyDelete}} Speedy Deletion	This page is a candidate for speedy deletion. If you disagree with its speedy deletion, please explain why on its talk page or at Wikifur:Speedy deletion. If this page obviously does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice, but do not remove this notice from an article that you have created yourself. Administrators - Remember to check if anything links here and the page history (last edit) before deleting.	This template is for marking an article for speedy deletion. Place this at the top of the page to mark the Deletion. Warning: Do not list articles which have some content as needing deleting. Instead consider revising. Using this tag where administrators decide an article has some merit could lead to yourself being banned. Contact an Administrator if you are even slightly unsure.

These templates are for placing on the description pages of images to mark the image's copright. Images which are not correctly tagged may be deleted. If none of the templates below is suitable, and there is one at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags that is, feel free to copy that template over here and use it.

{{Fursona}}	This image depicts a character or fursona. Copyright belongs to the artist, who may be a third party. It is believed that low-resolution images of characters for identification or commentary of the character when no free alternative could be made may be used under the fair use provision of the United States Copyright Law. To the uploader: If you can, add credit for the artist to the image page. If the artist has released this drawing under a specific license, add that information as well.	This is used for images of your fursona or character.
{{Cover}} Book, Comic, CD, DVD or Game Cover	This image is the cover of a book, CD, comic book, DVD, or other creative work. It is believed that these images come under fair use when used in association with the item depicted.	This template is to be placed in the description text on image pages of images which are scans of covers of books, CD's, DVD's, comics, magazines, video games and so on.
{{Logo}} Logo	This is a copyrighted and/or trademarked logo. It is believed that logos may be exhibited on WikiFur under the fair use provision of United States copyright law. Use of the logo here does not imply endorsement of the organization by WikiFur or Wikia, nor does it imply endorsement of WikiFur or Wikia by the organization. See logos and Copyrights.	This template is to be placed in the description text on image pages of images which are logos of companies, organisations or groups.
{{Screenshot}} Screenshots	This is a screenshot of a copyrighted website, video game graphic, computer program graphic, television broadcast, or film. This template is to be placed in the description text on image pages of images which screenshots of either games, computer programs, websites, TV shows or movies.
{{Press}} Press Pack Images	This picture is a Press Pack image and it is believed that such images may be used under the fair use provision of the United States Copyright Law. Please see Copyrights for more information.	This template is to be placed in the description text on image pages of images which come from Press Packs. They are normally copyrighted but since they were originally made for publishing by the press, it is considered fair use to use them to be displayed here. If the images come with any requirements over the copyright message that should accompany them, please print the copyright message along with this template.
{{PDImage}} Public Domain Image	This image has been released into the public domain by the copyright holder, its copyright has expired, or it is ineligible for copyright. This applies worldwide.	This template is to be placed in the description text on image pages of images which are in the Public Domain and have no copyright.

[edit] User Page Templates

These templates are for use on a user's personal page, those in the User: namespace. These are optional; however, some are only to be placed on a user's page by an admin to indicate the status of a banning or that they are in breach of wiki rules.

{{Userpage}} User Page Notice	This is a Wikifur user page. If you find this page on any site other than Wikifur, you are viewing a mirror site. Be aware that the page may be outdated, and that the user this page belongs to may have no personal affiliation with any site other than Wikifur itself. The original page is located at http://furry.wikia.com/wiki/WikiFur:Templates/All_Templates.	This template may be placed on a user's page to display a notice so that if the site is mirrored elsewhere on the internet and not kept up to date, a link will remain to this site and the most up to date version of their personal page.
{{InactiveUser}} Inactive User	This user is currently temporarily inactive. This may be caused by the user taking a vacation, not having an Internet connection, or other reasons. This does not imply the violation of any of the Wikifur policies.	This template may be placed on a user's page to display a notice that they will not be around for a while. Users may do this if they want to let other wikifurries know they are not going to be around to read messages or do editing.
{{ContributorU|Article Name}} Contributor User Page	See Article Name for the article about this person.	This template should be placed at the bottom of user pages of editors who also have articles about them in Wikifur. Also, to link back from the article, please place the Contributor template on the article. It is listed here.
{{Dontvandalize}} Don't Vandalize	You have vandalized or made non-serious edits to this wiki. Please stop. Vandalism is reverted immediately upon being discovered. We normally welcome anyone to edit, but if you continue to vandalize you will be blocked from editing.	This template is placed by administrators on a user's talk page as a warning to stop vandalizing the wiki. It may be removed by anyone, but it is recorded elsewhere that the vandalism took place.
{{Dontvandalize2}} Don't Vandalize 2	Please stop the vandalism. You will be banned if you continue to vandalize WikiFur.	This template is placed by administrators on a user's talk page as a warning to stop vandalizing the wiki. It is used in more serious cases of vandalism. It may be removed by anyone, but it is recorded elsewhere that the vandalism took place.
{{BlockedUser|1 day|looking at me funny}} Blocked User	This user has been banned from editing Wikifur for 1 day by ruling of the administrators. This is because of looking at me funny.	This template is placed by administrators on a user's page or talk page when they have been banned from editing pages. It will state how long the ban is for and why it was given. It should only be removed by administrators once the ban is lifted.
{{User Administrator}} Administrator userbox	This user is a WikiFur administrator.	This template is used to indicate that a user is a WikiFur administrator. Avoid using this if you are not, as it may bring the wrath of those who are. :-)
{{User RC Patrol}} User RC Patrol	This user patrols the recent changes.	This template is used to indicate wikifurries who patrol the recent changes for vandalism.
{{User Anthrocon}} Anthrocon userbox	This user has attended Anthrocon.	This template is used to indicate that a user has attended Anthrocon.
{{User Califur}} Califur userbox	This user has attended Califur.	This template is used to indicate that a user has attended Califur.
{{User ConFurence}} ConFurence userbox	This user has fond memories of attending ConFurence.	This template is used to indicate that an old timer ... ahem ... user has attended ConFurence.
{{User ConFurence East}} ConFurence East userbox	CFE This user has fond memories of attending ConFurence East.	This template is used to indicate that a user has attended ConFurence East or Furtasticon.
{{User Feral!}} Feral! userbox	This user has attended Camp Feral!	This template is used to indicate that a user has attended Feral!.
{{User Further Confusion}} Further Confusion userbox	This user has attended Further Confusion.	This template is used to indicate that a user has attended Further Confusion.
{{User FWA}} Furry Weekend Atlanta userbox	This user has attended Furry Weekend Atlanta.	This template is used to indicate that a user has attended Furry Weekend Atlanta.
{{User Megaplex}} Megaplex userbox	This user has attended Megaplex.	This template is used to indicate that a user has attended Megaplex.

These templates are for if you come across an article that needs improving in some way. Of course you yourself should have a go at doing the revision but if that is not possible, please attach the correct tag so that others can do so.

[edit] Protection Templates

These templates are for use by administrators on pages when they are locked for protection. Please contact an administrator if you feel a page needs protection.

Template Name	Example	Where to use
{{Protected-Vandal}} Vandal Protection	To protect this page from vandalism, this page has been locked. Until the the vandalism has abated, please discuss its contents on the article's discussion page. At this time, only the Administrators can edit and/or unlock this page.	This tag will be used when a page has been subject to Vandalism and needs protecting for its own safety. It will eventually be removed when interest in the page has lowered.
{{Protected-Dispute}} Dispute Protection	This page has been locked due to a dispute over its contents. Until the dispute has been resolved, please discuss its contents on the article's discussion page. At this time, only the Administrators can edit and/or unlock this page.	This tag will be used when a page covers a subject that is highly disputed, and agreement has not yet been reached, leading to edit wars. Once agreement over its content is approved, the page will be unlocked.
{{Protected-WikiFur Central}} Listed on the WikiFur Central page	This page has been locked since it will be or currently is on the WikiFur Central. For now, please discuss its contents and future changes on the article's discussion page. At this time, only the Administrators can edit and/or unlock this page.	Pages listed on the WikiFur Central page as featured articles are often subject to vandalism since many people will end up seeing them. This tag will be placed on pages while they are listed to ensure they remain safe during their time on show. It and the protection will be removed after being taken down from WikiFur Central.
{{Protected-System}} System Pages	This page has been protected since it contains important information that should not be changed except by Administrators. You may talk about its contents on the discussion page.	Pages marked with this tag contain important information about the wiki and are most likely going to be locked perminantly. In some places where it would be inappropriate to put this tag on the page itself, (like the Main Page) it will be placed on the article's talk page instead.
{{Protected-Excluded}} Excluded people	This article left blank by request. The subject of this article has contacted WikiFur and asked not to be included. To respect their privacy, we have blanked and protected this page. If you are the subject and wish to be unexcluded, please contact an administrator.	This tag is for pages about people who have decided that they do not wish to be included in WikiFur, and the pages have been blanked and protected.
{{Protected-Personal}} Protected articles about people	This article can only be edited by the person it concerns. The subject of this article has asked WikiFur for personal control over the entry about them. We have accepted their request and protected this entry, which must still conform to WikiFur policies. [edit] Warning Templates

These templates are for placing a warning. If you feel there is something wrong regarding either the point of view or the accuracy of an article, you may use these templates. You can also use the third template after the disputes are resolved.

{{NPOV}} Neutral Point Of View	Please see the discussion on the talk page. While WikiFur may not require total neutrality, the point of view of this article is disputed.	Place this tag near the top of an article if you think it is, overall, giving a biased view of the subject. Articles should try to list both good and bad aspects of their subjects and reflect many points of view while not having one itself.
{{Dubious}} Dubious Statement	This section is disputed — please see the talk page.	Place this tag near a statement in an entry that is of dubious accuracy. Explain why on the talk page. If the article as a whole is of dubious accuracy, use the Disputed Content template instead.
{{Disputed}} Disputed Content	The factual accuracy of this article is disputed. Please see the relevant discussion on the talk page.	Place this tag near the top of an article if you think the truth of an article's content is disputed. If the true facts are not known and something is 'rumor', they need to be clearly labeled so this tag is not required. Use this only if rumor is presented as fact.
{{Controversial}} Controversial	This topic contains controversial issues, some of which have reached a consensus for approach and neutrality, and some of which may be disputed. Please read the talk page discussion before making substantial changes.	Place this tag at the bottom of an article if the article contains some controversial subjects and might spark fights over its content, despite the fact that disputes have already happened and have been resolved.
{{Appropriate}} Inappropriate content	This item may not be appropriate for WikiFur. Please see the talk page for discussion.	Place this tag near the top of an article if you think that it may not be appropriate for it to be on WikiFur in its current state or at all. Reasons can include nonrelevance to furry in general, personal essays or general non-encyclopedic content. Explain why on the talk page.

[edit] Split and Merge Templates

These templates are to be used if either an article covers too much, covers too little or is too similar to another article. See their descriptions for more details.

{{Split}} Article needs Splitting	It has been suggested that this article be split into multiple articles (with a disambiguation page in case of confusion). (Discuss)	If the article covers too large a subject area or its sub-sections might be worth making into articles of their own, mark the topic at the top with this tag. Use the talk page then to describe why you think the article should be split and what sections are worth making into their own articles.
{{Merge|article}} Article needs Merging	It has been suggested that this item be merged with Article. (Discuss)	If the article covers too small a subject area or its contents are largly duplications of another article, adding only a little extra, mark it with this tag near the top of the page. State your reasons on the talk page, and also tag and post to the talk page on the article you wish to merge with.

These templates are for short articles that need expanding. Include the appropriate stub tag so that such articles are easier to find by category.

If you wish to sort the article's entry in the stub category, pass the sort string as a parameter to the template - e.g. {{fiction-stub|Tales of Tanabi, The}}

{{char-stub}} Character stub	This character's stub needs improving.	Use this for articles that are about a particular character.
{{comic-stub}} Comic stub	This comic entry is a stub - can you improve it?	Use this for articles that are about a particular comic or graphic novel.
{{community-stub}} Community stub	This entry about a community or a social group is a stub - can you improve it?	Use this for articles that are about a particular community, social or ideological group.
{{con-stub}} Convention stub	This entry about a convention is a stub - can you improve it?	Use this for articles that are about a particular convention.
{{event-stub}} Event stub	This entry about an event, furmeet, or party is a stub - can you improve it?	Use this for articles that are about a more informal events or parties.
{{fiction-stub}} Fiction stub	This entry about a fictional work is a stub - can you improve it?	Use this for articles that are about a particular work of fiction.
{{mediac-stub}} Media coverage stub	This media coverage entry is a stub - can you improve it?	Use this for articles that are about media coverage.
{{movie-stub}} Movie stub	This movie entry is a stub - can you improve it?	Use this for articles that are about a particular movie.
{{mp-world-stub}} Multiplayer world stub	This multiplayer world entry is a stub - can you improve it?	Use this for articles that are about a particular multiplayer world.
{{net-stub}} Internet stub	This internet entry is a stub - can you improve it?	Use this for articles that are about a particular website, newsgroup, chat room or BBS.
{{organization-stub}} Organization stub	This entry about an organization or company is a stub - can you improve it?	Use this for articles that are about a particular organization, including charities, companies, schools, and studios.
{{person-stub}} Person stub	This stub about a person could be expanded.	Use this for articles that are about a particular person.
{{publication-stub}} Publication stub	This entry about a printed publication is a stub - can you improve it?	Use this for articles that are about a non-comic publication.
{{species-stub}} Species stub	This species stub needs improving.	Use this for articles that are about a particular species.
